This coming Sunday I will be sharing some big news and some changes we have for our church as we head into 2026.  (No I'm not leaving, and no it's nothing bad).   But as we look ahead we want to remember a few things:
1) Change is easier when we initiate it and harder when we don't.  We all are creatures of habit and sometimes changes put upon us can cause us to fear rather than trust in the Lord through it all.  And yet at the same time when we've been praying about something, and the time is right, and we see God's hand in it, it is an exciting adventure we welcome with faith and joy.  For example, this summer I painted the inside of my home myself.  I welcomed the change of color and freshness.  But this past week my AC went out and my electrical panel had to be replaced.  I didn't welcome that change.  It wasn't a fun change in my life.
2) Faith must be exercised in every season.  Whether it's a joyful new thing or a difficult season to go through we are called to walk by faith.  To keep our eyes on the Lord and allow Him to work through the changes for His glory in our lives.
3) This too shall pass.  Life has seasons, and with every season we must gain that perspective that what I'm going through (good or bad) is only temporary.  Soon it will be over and I will settle into a new normal.  I may remember a previous season with joy and gratitude, but I keep moving forward by faith in anticipation of what God will do next.
So join us this Sunday, November 23rd, for a time in God's Word and hearing the 2026 changes!  I pray you'll be blessed.
